God's Value Scale

Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel— (4) rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.

1 Peter 3:3-4

Let’s think on these three sentences:

1. There are many activities we engage in daily but not all of the activities we engage in actually counts or matters. In other words, not everything in life counts.

The Authority Of The Believer

Romans 3: 23
God gave man dominion but somewhere in the process of time, the man that was given dominion sinned (Adam). When man sinned, he not only died spiritually, he also fell from dominion. Man fell from the elevated place God placed him because of sin; but thank God that Jesus Christ came to restore us to that original place of dominion.

Jesus came conquered sin, He died and went to hell; and in hell He conquered Satan (Colossians 2:15). This means Jesus disarmed Satan; He stripped him of the authority he collected from Adam. It's amazing what happened in Pharaoh's palace; Moses used his rod (which signifies authority) and produced a sign and the magicians of pharaoh also used their rod and produced a sign.

HOW TO PERFORM A PERSONAL AUDIT

Topic: HOW TO PERFORM A PERSONAL AUDIT USING THE 4 P MODEL.
Text: 2 Cor. 13:5, 1 Cor. 10:12

Every reasonable organization performs audits regularly. The reason is to ensure that the entity being audited is functioning appropriately for enhanced effectiveness .The general definition of an audit is an evaluation of a person, organization, system, process, enterprise, project or product. The same way, God also demands that we carry out personal audits. If you don’t take out time regularly to do this, you will definitely be full of regrets.

HOW TO BE LED OF THE SPIRIT

Topic: HOW TO BE LED OF THE SPIRIT.
Text: Rom 8:14.

People make decisions based on 3 things:
(1) Deductions from their emotions
(2) Intellect
(3) Spirit.

However, God still considers you a spiritual child if you are controlled by your intellect or emotions. Children are led by emotions and intellect but mature Sons are led by the Spirit (Rom. 8:14); until you learn how to be led of the spirit, there are many things you won’t have access to. (Gal 4:1 – 2)

CULTIVATING SPIRITUAL SENSITIVITY

Topic: CULTIVATING SPIRITUAL SENSITIVITY.
Text: 1 John 2:20; Proverbs 20:27.

Based on our text in John, an unbelievable statement was made. John said “you know all things”. It is unbelievable if John was referring to the human mind but he wasn’t referring to the human mind he was referring to the spirit of a renewed man. When John said you know all things, he meant that your spirit has information that your mind doesn’t have. In writing that verse, he was saying that the spirit can discern genuine from fake Christians that existed at that time.

How to Avoid Being Deceived by False Teachers

As we draw closer to the return of Jesus Christ, it will become more difficult to discern who and what to believe concerning Christianity. In and out of church, sound doctrine will be mocked as false teachers distort the truth. It is important to know what the Bible actually teaches so you are not deceived.

1 John 2:18 – “Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour.”

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 warns that many false teachers will come in order to deceive believers until the Antichrist stands in the temple proclaiming himself to be God. Spiritual deception

RAPTURE NOTES ---- SURVIVAL KITS FOR THE LAST DAYS ( LIVING IN THE END TIMES)

The Bible clearly teaches that society will degenerate in the end times, becoming as evil as it was in the days of Noah (Matthew 24:37-39). The Apostle Paul, speaking as a prophet, says that society will descend into a black pit of immorality, violence, and paganism (2 Timothy 3:1-5). He asserts that men will be "lovers of self, lovers of money, and lovers of pleasure." People will be "boastful, arrogant, and unholy," and children will be "disobedient to parents."

Sounds like the evening news, doesn’t it? In short, we have arrived.

Signs of Coming Persecution

Who Is An Infidel?

This is a true story and the author, Rick Mathes, is a well-known leader in prison ministry.

The man who walks with God always gets to his destination. If you have a pulse you have a purpose.

The Muslim religion is the fastest growing religion per capita in the United States, especially in the minority races.

Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who each explained their beliefs. I was particularly interested in what the Islamic had to say.

The Muslim gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video. After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers.

The 3 Fs Of Life

Faith and fear are great measures to determine the future. Faith and fear are great infectious words because they spread like epidemics, but you must be careful of what you listen to and those you associate with. Many people have allowed the faithless words of others to drive them into despair by which they end up being a failure.

Games Satan Plays - 2

Satan gains victory over the saints not because he has power over them, but because he is versed in the art of subtility, deceit and trickery (Gen. 3). As a matter of fact, Satanic tricks are more powerful and deadly than satanic power. That’s primarily because the tricks of Satan catches you unaware. Let’s take a look at some of the other tricks Satan plays
TEXT:  1st Cor. 3:18, Rev. 14:15

Games Satan Plays - 1

How is Satan able to bring down great men who are giant killers doing mighty things in the kingdom of God? How is satan able to distract a person focused on God with all his/her heart? How did satan get the Adams, Esaus and Judases of this world who were all on the course of greatness to turn around and fall?

Faith's Twin Brother

“In order that you may not grow disinterested and become [spiritual] sluggards, but imitators, behaving as do those who through faith (by their leaning of the entire personality on God in Christ in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness) and by practice of patient endurance and waiting are [now] inheriting the promises.” (Heb. 6:12 AMP)

The 3 Realms Of Prayer

So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.” ~Rom. 8:26 (AMP)

Praying By The Rules

22 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. 23 “Truly[a] I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
Mark 11:22–24

How to Be Lead of the Spirit Series- Series 7

Number One: The Inward Witness
The Spirit itself [Himself] beareth witness with our spirit....
—Romans 8:16

You will find that being led by the inward witness is the number one way, or the primary way, that God leads all of His children.
Let me go back—I said I would in the preface of this book—to what Jesus said to me in February 1959 in El Paso, Texas. It was 6:30 in the evening. I was sitting up in bed studying. My eyes were wide open. (There are three types of visions. The highest type is an open vision. In an open vision, one's physical senses are not suspended, and his physical eyes are not closed. He possesses all of his physical capabilities, yet sees into the realm of the spirit.)

How to Be Lead of the Spirit Series- Series 6

Presenting the Body
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
—Romans 12:1

It is the inward man—not the outward man—that becomes a new creature in Christ. We still have the same body we had before we became a new creature. What we must learn to do is to let that new man on the inside of us dominate. With that new man, we control the flesh and do something with our bodies.

How to Be Lead of the Spirit Series- Series 5

The Saving of the Soul
... receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

—James 1:21
The spirit of man is the part of man that is born again. It is the part of man that receives eternal life, which is the nature and life of God. It is the spirit of man that becomes a new creature in Christ Jesus. The soul is not the innermost being at all. It is not the soul that is born again. The saving of the soul is a process.

How to Be Lead of the Spirit Series- Series 4

What Is the Difference Between Spirit and Soul?
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit....

—Hebrews 4:12
The spirit and the soul are not the same.
Many years ago, back in the early 50's, I began an intensive study on this subject. I got books from the leading Bible schools and seminaries, both Pentecostal and denominational, to see what they taught on the subject of man. None satisfied me. None were actually scriptural. They were only scriptural, as the Bible says, "in part." I asked leading Bible scholars and ministers across the nation. You would recognize some of their names if I mentioned them. I even heard someone ask one of today's most well-known ministers, "What is the difference between the spirit and the soul?" He looked startled and said, "I thought they were the same." That was the answer I got from most of the ministers I asked.

How to Be Lead of the Spirit Series- Series 3

Spirit-Conscious
... I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless....
—1 Thessalonians 5:23

In this scriptural passage, Paul begins with the inside, the innermost part of man, the heart of his being, which is his spirit, and comes to the outside.

Yet most people misquote this verse. They say, body, soul, and spirit. Why do they put the body first? Because they are more body-conscious than spirit-conscious. Natural things mean more to them than spiritual things. So they put physical things first.

How to Be Lead of the Spirit Series- Series 2

Man: An Eternal Spirit
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:... So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him.

—Genesis 1:26, 27
Man is a spirit being. He is made in the likeness of God. Jesus said that God is a Spirit (John 4:24). So man must of necessity be a spirit.

Man is a spirit, he has a soul, and he lives in a physical body (1 Thess. 5:23).
When the physical body of man is dead and in the grave, the spirit lives on. That part of man is eternal. Spirits can never die, and man is a spirit. Paul is speaking of physical death here:

The Solution to a Sick Church

Before I give you the solution to a sick church, I think it will be wise for you to understand the Anatomy of a Sick Church and here are 10 Symptoms to Watch:

NB: There are certain metrics and issues physicians check when we go to the doctor. They want to check our blood pressure and temperature. They do blood tests to see if there are any warning signs. They are looking for symptoms that might indicate real problems exist.

These symptoms are not necessarily the problem; they simply provide warnings or cautions of potential issues.

THE BATTLE FOR YOUR COVERING

Winning the battle for your covering will help you win all the other battles. Hence, there are two kinds of faith you must have to win the battles of life and to survive in this last days; faith in God and faith in the prophets of God (also known as your pastor or the covering over your life).

The Bible says in Gen. 1:26, “And God said, Let us make man in our image after our likeness: and let them have dominion…”. When God said let us make man…and let them have dominion, He actually divided the responsibility between God and man, and to achieve this, God sent us two helpers – the Holy Spirit and the Prophet He has brought into your life. Every man that was born physically was

Are you a Pastor or a Preacher? Part 2

Is there a difference between a pastor and a preacher? lets continue from where we stopped in part 1

Pastors must shepherd the flock. The pastor is a shepherd. “Feed” in both Acts 20:27 and 1 Peter 5:2 can be translated as shepherd. Peter goes on to say, “exercising oversight” (1 Peter 5:2 NASB). The pastor or shepherd is to be the primary overseer of the church and the elders under shepherds, with Jesus being the Chief Shepherd (1 Peter 5:4 and 2:25). The pastor is to exercise oversight over the body and all the ministries of the church, much of which may be delegated.

Are you a Pastor or a Preacher? Part 1

Is there a difference between a pastor and a preacher? Many churches have great preachers, but pastoring is more than just preaching. There may be many similar characteristics between the two, but a pastor’s heart is very different. All pastors should “study to show themselves approved” (2 Timothy 2:15), striving to be the best preacher they can be. However, the weekly service is only a small part of our ministry as pastors – there is much more to pastoring than preaching weekly church services.

How to be Faithful to God

Who can find a faithful man? This is what God is searching for among His people and it is a very rare commodity in our day. “Help Lord, for the godly man ceases to be, For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men” (Psalms 12:1 NASB). “Many a man proclaims his own loyalty, but who can find a trustworthy (faithful) man” (Proverbs 20:6 NASB)? “The faithful disappear from among the sons of men” seems to be a phrase coined for today if one ever could be.

God is not looking for perfection or those who appear to have it all together. He is, however, searching for those who will simply be faithful. Will you be one of those He will find faithful when He returns? “When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth” (Luke 18:8 NIV)? Here are some areas of faithfulness God is searching for in our lives:

How to Prepare for a Move of God

How do we prepare ourselves for a move of God? First, read Acts 2 to learn what was happening in the lives of the disciples. As a side note, always make sure the Word being taught is the real deal regardless of the source. Anyone can twist scripture to make it say what they want. Get in the habit of reading and studying the Bible for yourself so you will never be duped by false or misleading teaching.

To prepare Yourself and Your Church for a move of God
There must be unity in the Church (Acts 2:1). In order to see a move of God there must be unity in the church and in our families. Acts 2:1 says the disciples were “all together in one

Ten Marks of a True Christian

Introduction

References in the scriptures to false teachers, wheat and tares, those who “went out from us” (1 John 2:19) and… “depart from me, I never knew you” (Matthew 7:23) prove there are both false Christians and true Christians within the Church. Here is a brief summary of the some of the key attributes that mark a ‘born-again’, ‘spirit-filled’ Christian.

A true Christian:

1.     Believes that Jesus is Lord

This is the pre-eminent characteristic of a true Christian because salvation hinges on it (Romans 10:9; Philippians 2:11).

IS YOUR NAME IN THE BOOK OF LIFE?

Revelation 20:11-15
11.And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the BOOK OF LIFE: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

How to Personally Lead Someone to Jesus

The Bible makes it abundantly clear that every person must have an experience with Jesus through the Holy Spirit to be saved and enter the kingdom of heaven. Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3 NKJV). There are only two destinations for those who leave this life and enter eternity:

Heaven, where God dwells. Jesus said, “In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be

Steps In Overcoming Masturbation

Be assured that you can be cured of your difficulty. Many have been, both male and female, and you can be also if you determine that it must be so.

This determination is the first step. That is where we begin. You must decide that you will end this practice, and when you make that decision, the problem will be greatly reduced at once.

But it must be more than a hope or a wish, more than knowing that it is good for you. It must be actually a decision. If you truly make up your mind that you will be cured, then you will have the strength to resist any tendencies which you may have and any temptations which may come to you. After you have made this decision, then observe the following specific guidelines.

4 Ways to Pass Down a Spiritual Legacy

A legacy is inevitable. You will pass things down to the next generation. Even if you don’t have much materially to leave behind, you will instill character traits, talents, hobbies, skills and more in your children and grandchildren. But how valuable will your legacy be? Will you leave anything that has relevance and benefit for this life and eternity?

The most valuable legacy we can pass to our children, grandchildren, and other children in our lives is a spiritual legacy – the legacy of faith in Christ. Although every individual must make his or her own decision for Christ, there are things we can do to create an atmosphere where faith can thrive. When we consistently show them the value and relevancy of faith in Christ, that’s a legacy not easily tossed aside.

6 Steps for Unshakeable Faith When Life is Shaky

I’ve never felt the earth literally shaking beneath my feet, but devastating circumstances have caused my world to rock. What about you? We can build an unshakeable faith on our rock-solid God so when times of trial and difficulty come, we can stand firm.

Scripture tells us that trouble and trials will be a part of our life(John 16:33, James 1:2). But what do we do when they hit? What do we do when we can’t see God actively working in our circumstances?

In Psalm 71, the psalmist cries out to God for help. His troubles were piling up and he couldn’t see God at work. If you have time, read the entire psalm. It’s only 24 verses. Here, I’d like to share six things the psalmist did to stand firm on God’s truth when everything around him was shaking.

3 Steps to Create a Hunger for the Bible

The people on the street crowded in tight around us. They stretched out their arms desperately wanting to snag a copy for themselves. In just a few hectic days, our short-term mission team gave away 10,000 Bibles to the spiritually hungry citizens of Moscow.

That was September 1991, roughly two weeks after an attempted coup in the USSR. Bible distribution in the Soviet Union had been limited and closely monitored for nearly a century. Only a relative few enjoyed the privilege of owning a Bible. But many more hungered for God’s Word.

Do you long for God’s Word like that? If you didn’t have a Bible would you stand in a line for hours to own one?

5 Situations When Prayer is Vital

I recently did a brief study on Jesus and prayer. I examined His actual prayers recorded in Scripture as well as His teaching and practice of prayer.

As I searched the Gospels studying this topic, I began to notice the larger context of the instances Jesus spent intensive time in prayer. No doubt Jesus had constant, ongoing prayer with His Father. But, since the Bible also tells of specific times He withdrew to pray, these should be noteworthy for us.

Since everything in God’s Word is purposeful – and not accidental or haphazard – I realized that knowing the motivation and purpose behind Jesus’ purposeful times of prayer should be important for His followers’ prayer lives too. Let’s take a look and when and why Jesus prayed.

5 Purposeful Prayer Times of Jesus

The 5 M Plan to Develop Cell Group Leaders

An ongoing cell group study program can be a useful tool for discipling the people in your your church. Increase in biblical knowledge, spiritual growth, accountability, and fellowship are just a few of the benefits. But it can't happen without effective Cell Group Leaders.

For many churches, leadership can be one of the greatest challenges of their different ministries. Often, we lack enough trained, faithful small group leaders. And even if we have enough leaders now, we should be planning for the future by equipping people from the younger generation.

Your  ministry can have strong leadership now and in the future through purposeful leadership development. The 5 M strategy, which I have used to recruit and train my group leaders, could also be used with other types of leadership positions.

9 Tips for Spending Quality Quiet Time with God

I believe that this is a great time to renew our commitment to spiritual disciplines. Perhaps the busyness of our daily lives drew us away from quiet time with God. Perhaps we got so caught up in the problems and demands of life we drifted away without even realizing it.

Quiet Time Tips
Whatever the reason, we can start again. God is waiting for us to turn our attention and our hearts back to Him. The following 9 tips will help us not only stick to our daily appointment with God, they will also help us really connect with Him.

1. Establish a regular place and time – We are creatures of habit. If we know when and where we will meet with God daily we are much more likely to do it. Build it into your daily schedule. If this is new for you, start small, commit to it and God will grow it.

Why Holiness Matters

Over and over in the Bible, our holy God calls His people to holiness. “But, just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do” 1 Peter 1:15. This call is echoed through numerous New Testament writers to God’s people throughout history. We must not only heed the call, we must encourage others to heed it as well.

This call is for our good and God’s glory. A holy life not only sets us free from the bondage and consequences of sin (Romans 6:22), it also paves the way for deep intimacy with God(Psalm 15:1-2). As we live holy lives, reflecting God’s character to the world, we become bright lights pointing a dark world to Christ (Matthew 15:14-16).

Three Steps Toward Holiness
Those of us in leadership should be leading the charge to holiness, urging those we influence to live holy lives. How can we do that?

Here are 3 steps in the right direction.

SOMETHING MORE POWERFUL THAN MONEY

An author Mark Twain once made a very powerful statement, “The two most important days in your life are the day you were born and the day you find out why”. The bible completely agrees with this statement (see prov. 29:18)
Jesus lived His life with this as a guiding principle. The bible says He came to do what was written about Him in the  volume of the books (Heb. 10:7). In order words, He lived a life of purpose that was driven by vision.

A man without a vision is an extremely poor man. Poverty of vision is worse than financial poverty.

15 Ways to Affirm Your Children (The Power Of Affirmation)

Not long ago, a son asked  his mother, “Was dad proud?” Then he said,”I work hard to make that man proud!”

His statement reminded me of the power of parental affirmation, and of how often we fail to let our kids know how proud they make us! Affirmation is HUGE! The most hopeless young person is the one who feels he or she “just can’t win.” And too often,  parents, inadvertently lead their kids to that conclusion. They too easily or too quickly focus on “what still needs improvement” and miss “what’s right” in their kids lives.

How to Pray Like Jesus

Every Christian should desire to be more like Jesus. One of the most effective ways to be more like Him is to emulate His prayer life. “He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked” (1 John 2:6 KJV).

What was Jesus’ pattern of prayer?

He prayed early in the morning. “And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, He went out and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed” (Mark 1:35 KJV). Jesus put God first, rising early in the morning to spend time with Him. Joshua also began his day with prayer and as a result won the battle against Jericho (Joshua 3:1 and 5:13-15). Jesus knew how important it was to

How to Pray in the Spirit

Praying in the spirit has always been a topic of dispute and controversy. The scriptures say we should be “praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit” (Ephesians 6:18). Praying is the responsibility of every born-again believer. That said, we don’t always pray as we should. We need God’s help to know how to pray and what to pray for.

“The Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words” (Romans 8:26).

How to Know if You are Being Led by the Holy Spirit

How can a Christian know if they are being led by the Spirit? I recently received this question from one of our visitors. God wants us to be led by His Holy Spirit. This should be a major characteristic of a child of God (Romans 8:14). We should all seek and fine-tune ourselves to be led by the Spirit of God. Let’s look at a few tests as to whether we are being led by the Holy Spirit.

Is the direction we are taking consistent with the Word of God? The Holy Spirit doesn’t direct us contrary to His Word. He inspired the Word and therefore would not direct us contrary to it (2 Timothy 3:16 and 2 Peter 1:20-21). This is why we must hide His Word in our heart. When His Word is hid in our heart we will have a good sense whether we are being directed by the Spirit or not.

The One Necessary Thing

That I may know Him . . . Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do . . . one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her. (Philippians 3:10,13; Luke 10:42)

Paul's goal in life was to grow in intimacy with the Lord "That I may know Him." He wanted to know the Lord so well that his life would be transformed into "resurrected living" in this spiritually lifeless world. He humbly admitted that he had not yet reached such spiritual maturity. "Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended." Thus, in light of his own need to grow, coupled with the excellence of the goal, he had a single focus in his life: "one thing I do." This one thing was his ongoing quest to know the Lord more and more.

How to Avoid Temptation

I’ve received messages from quite a few Christians lately who admit they are struggling with doubt, temptation and sin like never before. The proliferation of false teaching and lack of commitment in the body of Christ comes as no surprise since the Bible warns us about various trials believers will face as the return of Jesus Christ draws near. As Christians, how do we avoid temptation and overcome intense times of testing?

Be honest with yourself and God.
Many Christians are thinking and doing things they never thought they would as followers of Jesus Christ. The biggest trap of the enemy is to convince us about the things we know are wrong for us that they are really okay for us to do them. Be honest, call it what it is.

The Secret to Abiding in God’s Presence

I am sharing my heart with you here because i love you. I thank you with all my heart for your support, especially for your faithful prayers. And I believe with all my being that Christ Jesus is going to visit us in a heavenly manner.

More than ever before, I know that He longs for our love and intimacy, and He deserves our absolute love and surrender. He is the lover of our souls, and He wants to be in the life of each believer.

I am convinced that life without Him is empty and meaningless. Life with our Lord Jesus is full, it is abundant, and it is joyful.

A Father's Advice To His Son (Part 2)

My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding, and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God.

For the LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

He holds victory in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless, for he guards the course of the just and protects the way of his faithful ones.

A Daughter’s Letter to Her Dad

I want to let you know first of all that I love you and forgive you for what this has done in my life. I also wanted to let you know exactly what your porn use has done to my life. You may think that this effects only you, or even your and mom’s relationships. But it has had a profound impact on me and all of my siblings as well.

A Father's Advice To His Son (Part 1)

Listen, my son, to your father's instruction and do not forsake your mother's teaching.

They will be a garland to grace your head and a chain to adorn your neck.

My son, if sinners entice you, do not give in to them.

If they say, "Come along with us; let's lie in wait for someone's blood, let's waylay some harmless soul;

let's swallow them alive, like the grave, and whole, like those who go down to the pit;

we will get all sorts of valuable things and fill our houses with plunder;

Genetic Salvation

As Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him will have eternal life. “For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. (John 3:14-17). When I tried to keep the law, it condemned me. So I died to the law - I stopped trying to meet all its requirements - so that I might live for God. My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die. (Galatians 2:19-21 NLT).

Restoring the Fivefold Ministry

I believe that it is the responsibility of the local church to raise up and equip God's people in their giftings and callings. "Millions of born again, Spirit-filled believers who have been trained and equipped will prophetically speak the words of Jesus and demonstrate His miraculous

The Importance of the Fivefold Ministry

It is my job as a prophet to protect the Word of God and to sound the alarm when we find ourselves leaning in the world’s direction. It’s like a drill sergeant who breaks down his unit then builds them back up again as a unit of one. A prophet’s job is very hard because it involves confrontation.

The Basics of Discipleship

Isn't it interesting that Jesus Christ never said to make disciples by taking them to church—or to a Bible study group, for that matter. Not that these activities aren't an integral part of a disciple's growth, but the Lord has something much more personal in mind.

[The] word entrust [in 2 Timothy 2:2] was a first-century banking term that literally meant "to make a deposit." Paul is saying in our text, "You have learned things from me, Timothy; now I want you to take that truth and personally deposit it into the lives of other disciples."

When you teach a child something about Christ, you are making a deposit into his heart; when you share Scripture or prayer with another believer, you are making a life-on-life deposit that Christ would define as true discipleship.

Benefits of the Word of God

The Word of God can benefit us in more ways than we can possibly imagine. The writer of Hebrews says, “The Word of God is alive and powerful” (Hebrews 4:12). What’s so great about the Bible is it’s not just some ordinary book, but the living Word — inspired by God almighty. It is literally “God breathed” (2 Timothy 3:16). It will do for you what no other book or anything else can.

The Bible was written by men, but God is the author. Peter said, “Holy men spoke (wrote) as they were moved by the Holy Spirit” (2 Peter 1:20-21).

If the Word is going to benefit us, there are several prerequisites we must apply:

CULTIVATING SPIRITUAL INFLUENCE

We understand that the physical realm is controlled and influenced by the spiritual realm. Before any meaningful change takes place on earth, it must first occur in the spirit. That means that ultimate influence is spiritual influence. Hence, if a man understands how to navigate the spiritual world, it means he will ultimately have influence over what happens in the physical world.

There are men who have cultivated that kind of influence. Elijah the prophet sent a message to the King Ahab and said. “It won’t rain except at my word”. Talk about spiritual
influence! Notice he didn’t say at God’s word it won’t rain. He said, “at my word” (1 kings 17: 1 – 2). What gave Elijah the confidence to make such a decree? What did he do to activate that kind of spiritual influence over the weather conditions which ultimately affected the economy?

THE BOUQUET

Have you ever been in a situation where you know the right thing to do but you lack the power and will to do it? If your answer is yes then you are not different from the disciples. They knew the right thing to do but they couldn’t do it. Less than 12 hours after the disciples said they’ll not deny Jesus, they still did, even though they knew they should stand by Jesus. The reason is because human effort is unable and cannot give you the will power to withstand the pressure that comes from the flesh.

How then can we break away from the desires of the flesh? Let’s look at Hosea 10:12, “Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the Lord, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you”.

The bible makes it clear that you’ve not been able to do the right things because you’ve depended on your own will power. You have to understand that without the ability of the Holy Spirit, you will not be able to live a victorious Christian life.

Do you know that when the Holy Spirit came down on the day of Pentecost, He came like a “bouquet”? A bouquet is a lot of flowers arranged in a bunch. The Holy Spirit is like that; He didn’t just come with tongues like most people think, He came with a lot of other things. One of which is “the spirit of purity/holiness”.
