God gave man dominion but somewhere in the process of time, the man that was given dominion sinned (Adam). When man sinned, he not only died spiritually, he also fell from dominion. Man fell from the elevated place God placed him because of sin; but thank God that Jesus Christ came to restore us to that original place of dominion.
Jesus came conquered sin, He died and went to hell; and in hell He conquered Satan (Colossians 2:15). This means Jesus disarmed Satan; He stripped him of the authority he collected from Adam. It's amazing what happened in Pharaoh's palace; Moses used his rod (which signifies authority) and produced a sign and the magicians of pharaoh also used their rod and produced a sign.
Finally when Moses dropped his rod, it became a serpent; that was the way Jesus died, He dropped His authority when He died. When all the magicians of pharaoh also dropped theirs, in hell, death, sickness, barrenness, demons dropped their authorities; and the Bible said, that the rod of Moses swallowed up the rods of the magicians and there was only one rod in Egypt...and nobody could challenge it or reply it. In that same manner, when Jesus died He swallowed all the authority of the devil and when He rose from the dead, He said all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. There is only one authority on earth now and it’s in your hands.
Matthew 28:18
Jesus delegated all the authority He has to the believer. He left the authority He obtained in his resurrection for the church to exercise; since there’s no sickness or evil in heaven, and He knew the church will be needing it here on earth. Jesus said “go ye therefore” ...this means He transferred the whole authority to us, so as to restore us to the place of dominion. Where we can be in charge in life, where we can live as though Satan, witches, circumstances don’t exist.
Luke 10: 19
Authority is not a promise, authority is a fact. Jesus did not say I will give you authority; He said I have given you authority. Promises are the things God will do but facts are the things God has already done. Say it to yourself; I have authority in my hand, I have a rod in my hand, it has been given to me, I am in charge.Jesus said; I have given you authority over all the powers of the enemy...not some, not most, not almost but ALL the powers of the enemy; and we need to start walking in the consciousness of this fact. It is this revelation that made most of the power men of God you see on earth exercise authority.
Likewise a President of a country knows for a fact that he has authority, he doesn't need to feel it, he is conscious of the fact that he has authority in that country. When you use your authority nothing can hurt you, things can only hurt you when you don't exercise your authority. When you know how to exercise your authority, the devil will be too small to make a prayer point.
Declare this:
- I am created to have Dominion
- I am created to be Above and not under
- I am created to Dominate and
- I am created to Govern.
