The 3 Realms Of Prayer

So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.” ~Rom. 8:26 (AMP)

Prayer is meant to be one of the most wonderful experiences mankind is privileged to have. Imagine being able to stand before the One that made the heavens and the earth, the One that has
the final say, the One that reigns and rules in the affairs of men. This is a huge gift given to men.
Yet, in spite of all the wonders of prayer, it is the least attractive activity in the body of Christ, and the reasons for this are numerous. One of the many reasons why people don't pray is when they don't understand how prayer works and most importantly, they don't understand how to enter into that place where prayer becomes sweet and seamless.

Let’s explore the three realms of prayer showing how to have seamless and effortless prayers…
When God told Moses to build the worship tent, he told him to divide it into 3 sections; these sections represent the three realms of prayer:

The Outer court: This is where you usually begin praying from. Here, prayer is still in the flesh, your mind is still roaming and you are thinking about everything apart from what you are praying about, your body probably aches and a voice tells you to stop and continue at another time. The key to seamless prayer is not to give up at this point. If you can just hold on for a few more minutes you will break into the second realm.

The Holy place: At this stage, your mind is no more roaming, and your body is no longer aching. Prayer is no longer in the flesh. It is now more in the mind. However, you are still in control of the prayers and what you want to pray about. Most people stop at this point yet real praying hasn’t started. A few more minutes and you are at the third realm.

The Holy of Holies: Wow! At this stage, you’re no more in control, the Holy Spirit takes over, you’re totally unaware of your immediate environment, you stop reeling out the prayer points because the Holy Spirit takes over and dictate what to pray. At this point it easy to hear from God. Prayer is seamless. If you can stay in the place of prayer long enough to enter the Holy of Holies, you will begin to enjoy the riches of effortless prayer.

Noteworthy: Before you start praying, you need to apply the blood of Jesus on your life that is what will give you access to the first realm. Then you have to ask the Holy Spirit to help you to pray because praying without the help of the Holy Spirit is entirely frustrating – Rom 8:26.
